Nationwide K9 Patrol Units
A patrol unit is a handler, a marked vehicle and a dog, moving through your property on a pattern nobody can predict. It is the widest coverage per hour we field — the right answer for large lots, storage yards, construction sites, industrial parks and campuses after everyone has gone home.
Unpredictable by Design
A patrol that arrives at the same time every night is a schedule, and people learn schedules. Anyone watching your property for a week can tell you exactly when it is unwatched. Our patrols vary deliberately — timing, route and direction — and every checkpoint is logged, so you can see the rounds happened rather than take our word for it.
Our hiring floor, not an industry average. Ask any competitor what theirs is.
Properties Built for Patrol Coverage
Patrols beat static posts wherever the ground is bigger than one person can watch from one place.
Construction Sites
Copper, tools, fuel and equipment, on a site whose layout changes weekly and whose fencing is temporary by definition.
Storage Yards & Industrial
Equipment yards, laydown areas and distribution lots, where the perimeter is long and the lighting is rarely as good as the drawings suggested.
Auto & Equipment Dealers
Inventory sitting outdoors overnight in full view of the road, with catalytic converters and wheels as the recurring target.
Apartment & Commercial Parking
Garages, surface lots and stairwells — often paired with parking enforcement so one visit does two jobs.
Campuses & Office Parks
Multiple buildings and connecting ground that cameras cover unevenly and a lobby post cannot reach at all.
Vacant & Transitional Property
Buildings between tenants or awaiting demolition, where occupancy, fire risk and liability all climb the longer nobody looks.
How a Patrol Program Runs
Map the property
Access points, fence lines, blind corners, lighting gaps, where equipment is staged and where past incidents happened. The route follows the risk, not the driveway.
Set checkpoints and post orders
Specific points the officer must physically reach on every pass, and written instructions for what to do at each one — including what not to do. You approve them before the first shift.
Vary the pattern
Passes are spaced irregularly across the covered window and worked in different directions. Same checkpoints, different rhythm, so the gap is never predictable.
Observe, document, escalate
Officers deter and report. They are not police, they do not pursue, and they call law enforcement when a situation calls for it. Anyone promising more than that is promising you liability.
Report and tune
Patrol logs, shift reports and incident reports delivered to you. If the reports show a quiet window month after month, that window should be re-priced or moved — not billed forever out of habit.
Who Is Actually in the Vehicle
Overnight patrol is the least supervised work in this industry, which makes it the easiest place for a contract to quietly stop being performed. Three things matter more than the hourly rate.
Experience floor
We require at least four years of military or first responder service, or six years of recognized security work, before a candidate is considered for patrol.
State licensing
Licensing requirements differ widely — some states license every officer, some leave it to cities, and some have no scheme at all. Ask any bidder what applies where your site is — see Guard Services for the detail.
Verifiable rounds
Logged checkpoints and reports you receive. Without them you are paying for patrols you cannot prove happened, which is the oldest problem in this business.
