BKS Security

Nationwide Security Services

Most security work does not arrive labelled. A contractor knocks out a sprinkler line and the fire marshal wants a fire watch by tonight. A termination is scheduled for Friday. An alarm keeps tripping at 3am and somebody has to go look. This page is the full list of what BKS Security covers beyond the headline services.

One Call, Whatever the Site Needs

The advantage of a single provider is not the discount. It is that the people covering your termination on Friday already know your building from the lobby post, and the patrol officer who finds the broken gate at 2am already knows who to call. Fragmenting security across four vendors means nobody holds the whole picture — and the whole picture is the job.

THE ONES PEOPLE ASK ABOUT

Four Services Worth Explaining

Fire Watch

When a fire alarm or sprinkler system is out of service, the fire code generally requires trained personnel to patrol the building on a set interval and keep a written log until the system is restored. It is usually needed at short notice, it is usually needed overnight, and the log is what the authority having jurisdiction asks to see. Tell us the impairment and the interval your fire marshal specified.

Termination Standby

An officer present for a difficult exit — discreet, briefed in advance, positioned where HR wants them rather than looming in the room. The goal is that nothing happens and nobody remembers they were there. This works best when we are told the day before, not the hour before.

Alarm Response

Somebody has to drive out at 3am and find out whether it was a door seal, the wind, or something real. Using a response team instead of your own staff keeps managers out of dark buildings, and creates a written record of every activation — which is often what finally gets a faulty sensor fixed.

Courtesy Patrol

For apartments and HOAs, this is the softer end of the work — visible presence, noise and pool-hours enforcement, checking that gates and doors are secure, and being a known face rather than an escalation. Frequently paired with parking enforcement on the same rounds.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Security Services FAQs

How fast can you start a fire watch?
Fire watch is almost always urgent, so call rather than email. Tell us the building, the impairment, the patrol interval your fire marshal specified and how long the system is expected to be down, and we will tell you straight away what we can staff and when.
Do you provide armed officers?
Armed guarding is part of what we offer, and whether it suits your site is a separate question from whether it is available. Armed work carries additional licensing in most places, so ask us for the credentials of the specific officers assigned to you — and expect us to say when we think unarmed is the better answer.
Can we book coverage for a single day or one event?
Yes. Events, terminations, fire watch and short-term site coverage are all normal one-off engagements. Recurring contracts are not a prerequisite for being taken seriously as a client.
Can one provider really cover all of this well?
A fair question to ask us, and a fair one to ask anyone with a long service list. The honest answer is that these disciplines share most of their fundamentals — presence, documentation, escalation, supervision — and differ in specifics we train for. Where something falls outside what we do well, we would rather tell you than take the work.
Do you combine services on one contract?
Usually, and it is generally where the value is. A courtesy patrol that also handles parking enforcement, or a guard post supported by monitored cameras outside staffed hours, costs less than buying each piece separately from different vendors.
What areas do you serve?
Nationwide. Call 303-565-0352 with your location and we will confirm coverage.
How is this priced?
By service, hours and how demanding the assignment is. Short-notice and overnight work prices differently from scheduled coverage. Call 303-565-0352 or email contact@byersk9services.com.
